Hello
Recently, I found fb2k plugin(Github stuerp/foo_midi) that uses SCVA's core files to emulate SCVA.
It doesn't use HEAVY, SLOW vst.
It only use SCVA's core to play emulated audio.
It seems to support 32bit OS.(and may also work on older operating systems such as Windows 98 and Windows XP, which are not supported by VST?)
Using SCVA without vst is available, then, wouldn't it be possible to make a SCVA emulator that operates standalone and accepts MIDI input?
This is just my opinion, so please point out if there are any mistakes.

Just for awareness, Falcosoft Midi Player support 32-bit Windows OSes and can use VST instruments as well.

SCVA isn't officially supported in older Windows versions, but there is a different VST called Roland Virtual Sound Canvas: About Roland Virtual Sound Canvas 3
