hi guys!

new here and really impressed with all the knowledge available in the forums! congrats and thank you!

I have a question relative to this topic - I have a similar sound card missing the wave table chips. Can they be added? I am good at soldering any type of ICs (also have an expensive BGA system).

A friend said something about "soft-wavetable"

Thank you in advance!

The empty spot takes a YMF704 or YMF721 and the spot under it needs a 74x245 type chip on it. Some conf pins also must change state for things to work, which I believe the JP1 and JP2 are for.

Windows driver of this card has a softsynth in it, earlier versions have something that roughly emulate YMF704, final one has something resembling enhanced YMF721 with reverb effect but it requires Pentium or newer to work.

Can you take a photo of the back too ? I'd like to have a couple photos of this card for my collection of YMF71x based sound cards photos ~
