Hello. I can't find drivers for the Diamond Multimedia MX400 sound card. I downloaded from different places, including this site, but still Windows does not detect the appropriate drivers. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?
Installing on Windows 98SE
mx400_cd.iso (424 mb)- miss
mx400_win9x_2008.exe (7.9 mb)- miss
Diamond_Monster_Sound_MX400.zip (7.1 mb)- miss
It's an ESS Canyon3d, have you tried searching for the drivers for that?

drivers are found and installed.

You should look for drivers not for the Canyon3D chip but for the Maestro2

You should look for drivers not for the Canyon3D chip but for the Maestro2
Then you won't get the Canyon3D capabilities, only Maestro functionality.
Canyon3D is Maestro2 HW + custom dsp and host code.
There is also the possibility that the card is faulty, since the files you've already tried should have worked
