I've been frantically looking for the datasheet to make an ISA card for it open source as the original creator of the MK8330 has discontinued it and the audio circuitry that my motherboard uses has a lot of noise.

I have asked the creator of the card, but no response. I have looked across multiple pages of Google and the only close datasheet I could find is for the PCI (not ISA) CMI8338 IC.

Let me know if you have it and send it here, please.

Here is a link to spec sheets and documents. AFAIK, nothing else is available.

Thanks for your interest, but as I mentioned, the only datasheet for the cmi8330 only lists features, how to use the mixer with registers and pinout. I need other important info like typical applications and such. I think I can try to do it with what I have but it'll be harder.

...The chip's typical application schematic is a GIF file and is not on the PDF. This was on C-Media's website via the Internet Archive. [focus point: circa 2000]
I'm archiving this file myself. (You may want to rotate this file if viewed on a PC.)

Have fun. 🙂

Site update: cwcyrix.duckdns.org -> cwcyrix.nsupdate.info due to the former no longer working.

Oh my god, my saviour has arrived.
Thank you for this! This is exactly what I needed, specially because the 8330 spec. file doesn't mention external wavetables at all.
For a second time, THANK YOU

A simple question, what are the Nichicon capacitors' values on the MK8330? specifically the bulgy ones with markings:
MK8330.jpg
I know that some of them are 4.7uf because of an update on the pcmidi.eu site of the MK8330
I think my job would be easier if I had an MK8330... I would've gotten one but I didn't know about it until much later, when the sales ended...
It would be very cool if someone sent me one, of course I would pay for shipping price and whatever you want for the card unless it surpasses the original price.
Thanks a lot,
Aarón
