It's been a week of me trying to install sound blaster on windows 98 it worked on xp but not 98. Hwinfo knows that i have a sound blaster and says so. I think it has to do that all the drivers I saw have a dev id of 0002 mine is 0006. The only drivers i could find for mine is xp and not windows 98. Is there correct drivers for this sound blaster card for win98 or did i buy a card that was slightly off the 98se os.

Could it be that this is the same ID that was used for later onboard sound chip? These are newer and might just not have drivers for Windows 98. You can try to trick the driver by adding your device ID to the driver's inf file, but it probably won't work.

Does your card look like a regular SB live card from 1999?

The drivers for this 2004 card (Ectiva 5.1) have a device ID of 0006, but that's not a SB live sound card. The drivers for it seem to support Windows 9x.
