I'm using an IPS LG 23mp68 monitor connected to my voodoo3 2000 using win98. The monitor can do 75 Hz in 'original scale' @ 1024x768. This got me wondering, are there any other monitor, pref LG range that have vga connector, IPS and > 75Hz using the vga @1024x768 for example
btw, the monitor can only do 75Hz max using any video connection

Would really like to know if anybody has experience of this before VGA connection becomes a thing of the past on modern monitors

I'm using 27GP950 (and active adapters), to do this :

Active VGA to HDMI adapters I own : Delock 62408 and Aten VC160A* (*it's to DVI-D, but using passive DVI to HDMI adapter works fine).

Aten is a lot better in high refresh (up to 85-144Hz), but Delock works fine up to 75-85Hz on lower resolutions (which are more important in this case).
How far you can go on adapter depends on GPU and monitor/capture device (I only tested mine with GP950 monitor and GC573 capture card).
