Now about overclocking.
I lauched V.Control and noticed that my new default memory clock now is 110Mhz 😀
I tried to set "Default" and card hangs(!)
So BIOS sees that one chip is off (5ns) and does some adjustments.
That's cool, really.
Setting clock to 124/124 makes Quake hang in about 10 mins.
100/110 (new defailt 😀) works absolutely stable. At least for yesterday Carmageddon one-hour run and today 30 min Quake.
Didn't test further as i don't consider anything less than 20% as overclocking.

Thank you for logging your findings and congratulations on the successful fix! 😀
I got the time today to repair my Elsa Victory II banshee card and it too now has fully working memory. In my case though instead of dealing with Aliexpress since I have so many early AGP cards - I sacrificed an ATI Rage card which had 4 standard SGRAM chips with 8ns latency, good enough to work on a Banshee. Being able to test the memory on a card with VMTCE before pulling it apart is a nice assurance 😀

I'm going to make a separate post about memory testing with VMTCE, I learned a lot about how it works especially with 3Dfx Voodoo 3 / Banshee cards.
