I have an Ultimate Windows 98SE desktop that had a GeForce 6200 AGP card in it until it died when it "overheated" when I was in the middle of playing a game. I have a GeForce2 MX400 installed, but, it's not enough horsepower for certain games. Which AGP card do you recommend I should get?
Specs of the Ultimate Windows 98SE machine:
Case: Ultra ULT31584 PC case (black)
Motherboard: PCChips M871G v1.5 AGP 8X
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Socket 754 2.00GHz
PSU: 400W PSU
RAM: 256MB DDR-333
FDD: 3.5" 1.44MB
HDD: Maxtor 60GB HDD
OS: Microsoft Windows 98SE
ODD0: LG CD-Burner
ODD1: Samsung DVD-ROM Drive
Sound: Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 w/ Drive IR
Video0: nVidia GeForce2 MX400 AGP 64MB
Video1: STB BlackMagic 3Dfx VooDoo2 12MB card (FastVoodoo 4.6 drivers installed)
Network: RealTek RTL8201BL (SiS 900)
Monitor: NEC MultiSync LCD1530V
Input: Compaq Keyboard + Ball Scrolling Mouse, Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro Joystick
Speakers: JBL Platinum
Most of the games I have are either too choppy when playing (frame rates are erratic (go up and down), or not enough support, such as shadowing or anti-aliasing).
