Long story short, I purchased a used and in working condition, an NEC MultiSync 1850e to replace the LCD1530V. Installation was a cinch, however, I hit a major snag: the monitor resolution is stuck at 640x480 with 16-bit color mode in Windows 98SE on an nVidia GeForce 6200 PCI video card. I tried the following to no avail:
1) Changed the monitor driver from plug-n-play to Super VGA 1280x1024 & Super VGA 1280x1024 @ 75Hz
2) Uninstalled and re-installed the video drivers
3) Tried a different cable
4) Moved the cable from the first VGA port to the second VGA port on the monitor itself (Dual VGA input)
Should I just re-install Windows and see if that makes a difference, or are there better alternatives? Even the onboard video card won't detect the monitor as 1280x1024 and my plan is to hook up one of my laptops to the monitor and see how that works out.

Well, after switching the VooDoo2 card and GeForce 6200 card, and testing the TNT2 M64 to see if it goes to 1280x1024, and it did. Now, I get 1280x1024 resolution with the GeForce 6200 card.
I'm now thinking it's the motherboard causing this issue. When I insert the GeForce 6200 into the last PCI slot on the board, everything goes south. The nVidia setup program won't detect it (PCI ID not found error), and when I install the drivers manually, it gets stuck at 640x480 with these color modes: 16 colors, 256 colors, 16-bit (high) color, and 32-bit (true) color. I'm also having difficulties with the VooDoo2 card not working properly either. Going to install the Socket 370 board I have again or swap the 6200 card with the GeForce2 MX400 AGP card.
Got it to work again. Apparently, the motherboard has issues with a GPU installed on the last PCI slot for some reason and I have an ATX-ATX w/ -5v attached between the PSU and motherboard.
