Hi there, I figured it out but stuck on another serious issue that I actually can't fix.
Changing from ATI-2560 to ATI-2440 does fix the mousepointer issue in PowerVR Quake1/Hexen2.
The PowerVR PCX1 destroys the sound on Games that use D3D via PowerVR.
It's not about the soundcard, it's drivers, regardless what soundcard or soundcard-driver I use, it stays all the same.
I tested different DirectX versions, but it's all the same.
e.g. JediKnight/JediKnight MOS, Hellbender. After a short time the sound is gone, stutters and then disappears.
If I choose the ATI for D3D it's also not working after I ran into the issue with the PCX1 before, so I have to do a restart
und then choose ATI for D3D and the sound is ok. Changing back D3D to PCX1 and the errors are back.
My conclusion is, that the PCX1 "writes" an error in the "PCI-Bus" that causes this issue when using the PCX1 for displaying for D3D.
I changed the PCX1 driver, but that does not solve this issue. I have to check if the PCX2 behaves the same.
