Google translate leads to some gibberish nonsense but it's a very old page with pc requirements and a (dead) link to purevex (guess what?) demo version. I wonder how many frickin full cdrom pieces they produced for that, damned japaneses!

Recent video, it's quite interesting because it shows destruction derby (s3d) running with pcemu (link here). Apparently Vetz hasn't got the exclusivity 🤣

PCem*

PCemu's strictly in the XT era. PCem emulates the Stealth3D 2000 that DD wants/ships with and the ViRGE DX.

I was going to do a PCem DD S3D video a year ago but drawing the ire of pirates and 3dfx cult dorks wasn't in my best interest so I stuck to 3dfx emulation videos of the popular stuff (which still had its own 'whats the point' posters that didn't get it)....

I have a YT channel too: people begging for download is part of the game but when dealing with things you can only find *maybe* after many years of your life because 10 copies survived and floating around like some games I recently bought, I can understand them.

Hi there, new user here...

Yesterday I got my PowerVR PCX2 >> Matrox M3D card and wanted to tell that soon will be doing some tests with Nirgends with PCX2 with SGL.
Just installed the drivers now on Win98 and hope it works great.

Using the card with Ati Rage Fury. Do I need another card? A little concerned about that.

PS: is it normal if the Matrox M3D is heating too much? Seems odd that sometimes doesn't get detected by the BIOS.

Highest amount of APIs for one machine without using any VGA switchboxes and multiple 2D cards would be a system with:
-Creative 3D Blaster PCI (CGL, RRedline, Speedy3D, Direct3D)
-Voodoo 1 or Voodoo 2 (Glide, Direct3D)
-PCX2 PowerVR (PowerSGL, Direct 3D)
-Paradise Tasmania 3D

If you had a switchbox and an AGP motherboard (allows you to select main VGA card in DOS between PCI and AGP), this would probably be the largest API setup possible:

-Windows/DOS: S3 Virge GX2 AGP (S3D, Direct3D) OR ATI Rage 3D PRO AGP (ATICIF, Direct3D)
-Windows/DOS: Creative 3D Blaster PCI (CGL, RRedline, Speedy3D, Direct3D)
-Voodoo 1 or Voodoo 2 (Glide, Direct3D)
-PCX2 PowerVR (PowerSGL, Direct 3D)
-Paradise Tasmania 3D

switchbox ? can you explain in details please?

did i can use in theory this set of video cards:
-Matrox Impression Plus (RenderWare 3D)
-Creative 3D Blaster PCI (CGL, RRedline, Speedy3D, Direct3D)
-Paradise Tasmania 3D
-PCX2 PowerVR (PowerSGL, Direct 3D)
-Voodoo 1 or Voodoo 2 (Glide, Direct3D)

No, you shouldn't be experiencing that. I have performance tested both my Videologic Apocalypse 3Dx and Matrox m3D (both PowerVR PCX2) and I cannot say that I've seen such issues.

You are correct, the IS-MGA-1064SG-D has the best compatibility.

@Vetz: it looks like you have great knowledge about early 3D OEM releases.
So, maybe you know the answer.
Was there an Actua Soccer 3dfx OEM release? I have the retail EN/FR version backup (the original cd is long ago dead from aging). I have the VR Soccer '96/Whiplash OEM cd somewhere (was included with 1 of Voodoos). But I can't find any trace of an european 3dfx release/OEM.
Tnx.

Yes, there were. It came with the European releases of the Orchid Righteous 3DFX card and it was the OEM Semi Finals version (not full). Please not that the bundle in the Orchid cards was later replaced with Jedi Knight and Sega Rally Championship.

See this auction on Ebay (from 2013):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Orchid-Righteous-3D … =p2047675.l2557

I don't own this disc as I only have the US version with VR Soccer, but I'm sure alot of people on this forum do (Artex does not, so don't bother to ask him 🤣). If someone wants to help out with the .exe file please raise your voice 😀

If someone interested I have made a 3Dfx patch (full with 44 teams) for retail or other PC releases (using the VR Soccer '96/Whiplash OEM cd):

Thank you for patch =)
Thanks to other patches too =)
P.S. Sorry for oftopic

I am discovered some 3dfx source ports:
Doom Legacy, win 3dfx
qdos (quake 1 for dos 3dfx),
uhexen2dos (HeXen II for dos 3dfx),
q2dos (quake 2 for dos 3dfx),
Doom III unofficial 3dfx patch (where i can find it?)
Did you know something more, on porting games for proprietary API?
need to check BigRRed how it works.

Also i am thinking on to find full (or build it in future) List of games using ATI Truform, (and discover other proprietary graphical enhancements)
And about Sound Cards : A3D list games, EAX list games .
source ports a3d: wHeretic, jHexen

Sorry for oftopic, treat it like public note =) i will remember it for my self, and any one else can discover something interesting here too, hope =).
