That is a good result! My best with 512kb cache and 633MHz is 5250

Hey, so who has the best score on a via mbp3?

Can I get a recipe out of you? Maybe even a few uploads? Details on how to set up the software.

On another note,
I’ve been trying to get my setup working again, even fresh installed but it keeps having driver issues. 3dm2000 just goes back to windows when I try to launch it.

So frustrating.

I cant remember what I did with my MVP3C-m, But think the score was 4800 with 617MHz.
ALi and Radeon has a secret, I was able to do it once and did not keep record of what I did.
But I remember that it could not be win9x because I could not tweak the AGP in regedit to get it stable.
Everything you do the Radeon is slow but when you find the secret the FPS doubles.

Yes, its the Freeway ultra board. System is no longer put together. My CPU was holding me back.

Yes, its the Freeway ultra board. System is no longer put together. My CPU was holding me back.

Surely it was not the CPU since I’ve entered 5000+ score with 1mb of cache with via mvp3 and you did not with two megs.

Does anyone have a CPU that will run 5.5x120 660MHz?
Mine crashes during game 1 randomly. I've put the whole PC outside! I'm in North Dakota USA... Its cold!! Made stability worse 😒
Any one tested these 2+ 570 CPUs with forced cooling?
Maybe the motherboard or something else don't like the cold 🤣.

Also I am using MX4 thermal paste, I think its too thick.

If You need that 30 MHz more, I would delid CPU to cool die directly

I've pulled a broken Asus P5A-B mobo (does not start) from Ebay. Post code card says F8.

An Acorp 5ALI61 "donor" w/o tag SRAM from the post above also showed F8 code. It was estimated that malfunction was caused by a dead south bridge. But, it was not dead )) it was just partly desoldered from the mobo.

We have IMPLANTED south bridge from ACORP into ASUS. Revision A1->B1. Now, our ASUS is alive.. But, it cannot detect IDEs.

No problem, a patched BIOS from ACORP delivers 😀 UDMA66 in Asus P5A-B. I also tried enabling 10-bit internal TAG SRAM. It works! And another thing: ONE GIG SDRAM was properly detected (but, hangs) 😀
My Win2K needs replacement by a period-correct Win98SE
