Had to test the last p5a-b that came in so went with the k6-2+ again and messed with it. The board works fine but again: anything above 110 (112) is not stable enough, i had vio at 3,8v this time but it didn' t help at all.
It appeared to be the worst of the 2 k6-2+ cpu's i have and anything over 600mhz is a no go.... and even 5,5x110 did not work.
I finally settled for 5,5x 105fsb and did get some nice scores compared to this fairly bad overclock: 4320 3dmarks, not bad at all...
I did not get any higher as almost 4000 with 1.82 agp, 7.76 Nvidia, ti500 and some registry settings. Got about the same with Geforce2 Pro overclocked and 7.58 and 7.76
The last pretty big bump i got was from installing some latest driver i could find for agp (from uli ?) and an Ali agp utility. I selected turbo settings in that utility and it did it's magic!
Still a long way off your scores but i think for a k6-2+ at only 577mhz 4320 3dmarks is still a very nice score! Now i will play with the other k6-2+ again... 🤣
