I believe even Ati never got it working.

I can't imagine a senario where you would use windows 98 and a 4670 As any game that will still run on windows 98 won't utilize the 4670. The 9000 series was the last amd gpu to support 98

X800 is also working in win98, X850 is pretty much the same GPU, so it should be ok as well. I'm not sure about the X1000 series... but anything newer that that definitely won't work.

Radeon X850 XT PE is the best/latest GPU from ATI that works under 98SE. Anything newer - no.

Why would you want to make it work, its overkill for any games that support Windows 98 unless your trying to do Windows 98 at 2560x1600 or 4k

Simple. It is not possible. There are no drivers. Its good enough for 640x480 16 colors though. If it will boot on win98 at all.

rather than ask why, I'd like to ask what you envisioned the outcome of a working hd4670 with win98 would be?
