Install DirectX 9.0 on your Win98 and enjoy your GF3.

If you are using Win98FE then install the Jul 2004 version of DX9. If you are using Win98SE then install the Dec 2006 version. The card will work fine with DX7 games either way.

EDIT: Easiest way to get old versions of DirectX redistributables is the vogons Falconfly mirror: http://falconfly.vogonswiki.com/directx.html
