Since this thread is getting less attention then your Kyro benchmark thread, may I suggest that you also put these results into your Kyro benchmark thread? In such a case the results may also be compared. And I like both Kyro and GF MX 😁 (even though admittedly I never ended up trying out my own Kyros, I still wanted them as I found these interesting).

The threads probably just getting less attention because no one in their right mind would choose to use a MX 420. 😜 I actually just wanted to test it on a whim since I had not used one since like 2002. It's honestly a bottom of the barrel kind of card. I dont recommend anyone pick one up over a Geforce 2 or 3, or Radeon 7500 or anything.

Why not? That's GeForce 2 MX400 OC level. It's not practical to use GeForce 1/2/3 anyway, because GeForce 4 Ti is better in every aspect.

I wouldn't use a GF 2 MX 400 either. Its one of those things, a lot of these cards fall in a general price range, so if you dont have any of them and want to buy something, there is much better options. A GF 4 MX 440 or Radeon 7500 can be had on ebay for under $10. If you're going to go on the lower end, those two are at least much better cards.

You're correct. I got most of them either as hand-me-downs or these happened to be in more-or-less complete systems I gotten one way or the other. I wouldn't toss any of them either and having side-by-side benchmark results is always nice to have available 😀
