Separate to all the other issues I'm having, I've gone back to basics. Win98 512MB RAM, no memory patches, limits or hacks. The only Catalyst drivers I can find: v6.2.

Tried 2 games that both run fine on other Win98 systems I have, Colin McRae 2 and UT99. Both crash with D3D memory related errors. UT99 will work in software rendering mode.

Direct draw tests work in DxDiag, but the Direct3D options are greyed out saying the drivers aren't WHQL certified.

What am I missing here?
