That is true. The very small (in diameter) screws of the Zalman ZM80A can be a bit tricky. But it is still manageable, you just need a ton of patience, which never was a problem for me.

I recently acquired a Zalman ZM80D HP and on this version they've changed the screw mechanism. You only need two of them to fix the big heatsinks and the screws are bigger, which makes it much easier to get everything together:

Dual heatpipes, though. Needs a ton of thermal paste.

I also wanted to point out that there is a very cheap alternative to the Zalman VF700. There are coolers out on eBay that are called "Little Coral / QQ Coral". Those ones look almost identical. I use one for my Radeon 9600XT and it's very low noise and much more effective than the stock cooler.
