Alright, that makes more sense. Kinda funny that the N64 had such a hard time with this, every magazine touted it as one of its main features and one of the reasons why had such "sophisticated" graphics. I would have said it was its Achilles heel, but then there's also the shared 4kb texture cache 🤣 . What an odd system.

Memory performance, the tiny texture cache and its restrictions, and the RSP microcode that was terribly inefficient early on.

The graphics processor certainly was the most advanced in a console at the time though.
