I think I will just leave this SiS motherboard for DOS games and buy a separate pentium 3 or even p-4 box for my Voodoo3 card.
Should be easier and cheaper.

Just was wondering what you ultimately did this machine. I have been tuning a very similar CPU/Motherboard combo, with a PCI GeForce4 MX 4000. It runs well enough in DOS, but my biggest expectation is running Half-Life at a steady frame-time and decent (25+) FPS at even the lowest resolution.

Half-Life can hit up to 35 FPS, but the average is more like 20 with drops to single digits. On top of that, stutter is a major problem. The stuttering is my first target, and while I have been able to reduce the length of a given stutter - I have not been able to rid of stutters entirely. I can deal with low FPS, but the stuttering is bothersome.

Anyways, I would love to hear what became of your K6-2 / GA-5SMM build!
