So I landed two Quadro FX 4500 cards with .22ns ram, and according to samsung this means they are rated for up to 900mhz aka 1.8ghz. Would it be possible to turn these Quadro FX4500's into ultra rare 7800GTX 512 cards?

Hold on re read the die, it says G71, but the card indentifies as a quadroFX 4500 how strange, its got to be a Quadro FX5500, which means my current 7900GTX Cards are faster hmm, but this has higher rated ram and the stock core clock should be 700 hmm

FX5500 is 1gb RAM card, so it's not a surprise they've used G71 for FX4500 in late production runs. Some customers could prefer more cheaper solution with less RAM.

7800GTX 512 had 1.1ns RAM and some odd 512-A2 revision G70 chip (handpicked?). Early Quadro FX 4500 cards with G70 never had such good memory and ceirtantly can't reach 600+ mhz overclocking potential, even after tweaking ROP/Pixel/Vertex domain ratio to 1/1/1.

P.S.
I have two XFX XXX cards which are clocked at 580mhz stock - https://www.bjorn3d.com/2005/11/xfx-geforce-7 … -edition-review
