I'm running some benchmarks on an old XP machine for a silly project (thread coming soon. 😉 ) Hit a couple snags:

- Is there any way to force some older DirectX benchmarks (Final Reality, 3DMark 99 Max) to run on a Voodoo2 card? It's an 8MB card so I'm not expecting too much, but it'd be fun to try. I'm using the Koolsmoky reference driver from 3DFXzone.it.

- Is there an ATI Rage driver for XP (or even an NT/2000 driver that works) which supports ATI CIF? (Specifically for Tomb Raider & Wipeout.) I have a compatible ATICIF.DLL in the game directory but still get the "5000: Could not initialize CIF" error with the drivers included in XP. Or am I out of luck without dropping back to 9x?

Any suggestions appreciated 😀

Gona says: ATI CIF is Win9x-only:

It's perhaps also DOS-compatible if someone ever finds a DOS SDK. I don't really recall but I think I remember hearing something about it.
