Hi.

I just received a Voodoo 2 card yesterday, but i am not sure what brand it is.

The number "ATC-" in in the number ATC-2455 on the label, reminds me of other A-Trend products. Can someone tell me, if A-Trend is the only company who used this "ATC-xxxx" phrase?

When i look on this side: http://tdfx.de/ger/grafikkarten_voodoo2.shtml I can see that a similar card is listed as a Typhoon 3D Max II. I get it, that the card is listed as this because of the text on the box, but when i look at the V2 that is pictured on the box, it does not match the card listed together with the box, and i was thinking it could maybe be the wrong box for the card?

Does someone here know what V2 card i have? A-Trend? Typhoon? Another third one?

Thx 😀

A-Trend did use the ATC-XXXX phrase.

The card has 8MB RAM clocked at 100MHz, I believe.

Thats also my conlusion about A-Trend. Im just not compleatily sure that A-Trend is the only company using this phrase. If thats the case, it would definitely be an A-Trend product 😀 If someone can confirm that A-Trend is the only one to use ATC- phrase, it could solve the case 😁

About the 8MB RAM, it was my guess too. I believe that most (all?) Voodoo 2 cards can be determent by the "missing" RAM modules on the backside, to see if it is an 8MB og 12MB version.

Do you know that for sure, or do you believe that it is? My point is, that i believe that its an A-Trend, but i am note sure, which is why im asking 😀

The model number on the bottom sticker gave it away. That, and Google searches.

Hi, reviving an old thread ... It appears 3dfx Interactive used exactly this product code. Thought you might find it interesting. /Timbral

Does anyone know the brand of this Voodoo2?

I bought this card untested a few years ago. It works, but only with one disabled TMU unit (SSTV2_NUM_TMUS=1), and with boths TMUs are graphics glitches. Today, I have tried again (the first try was a 100% washing with water, because this card was very dirty) to solve this problem and yes! it runs fine, after I cleaned all the legs from the TMU units with denatured alcohol (the pins of the left TMU 1 was the problem, TMU 0 is on the right). So this was only a oxidation problem. I tried GLQuake, Quake 3, Incoming, 3DMark 99 Max/2000 and the 3dfx Donut Glide 3x Demo in 640x480 and 800x600 resolution on a Pentium II 350@466 (FSB133), i440BX chipset, and all glitches are gone!

It has no "ATC" on the barcode and has a different Texas Instruments RAMDAC, everything else looks the same as the A-Trend Voodoo2 in this thread.
