hi, i'm a bit of a newbie here and i'm not too well-versed on the subject of old video cards, so bear with me.

i've got an older gateway running windows xp that i use for early 2000's/90s stuff, mechwarrior 2, duke 3d and the like. i've been using dosbox, but recently i found out that ntvdm is a thing as well and may have better performance. my current gfx card doesn't support the video modes though because i get a blank screen, and my processor's integrated graphics work but they bluescreen a bunch.

anyone know of a good graphics card for stuff like ntvdm? i've only got pci-e and pci slots on my mobo so info on those would be great, thanks

For PCI-E you can use GeForce 6-7 series cards or even GeForce PCX 5750/5900.
