Yeah... how much do we actually know about these cards? The 3700 revision, to be accurate - what chips do they use, what's the layout, et c?

If anyone knows where to find documentation, then that would be super-lovely - and if anyone actually HAS one of these 6000 A.3700 boards, and is willing to take the highest possible resolution photo's, then that would be incredible! = )

My interest in this, came from a recent insane idea... learning hardware design, in order to create a VooDoo 5 6000+ compatible graphics card - with modern technology, we might even be able to improve upon the design.
(increase memory, clock-speed, decrease energy-consumption, et c - not needing a separate power-brick to run the card would be amazing)

EDIT:

AH-HAH! A quick google found a first page, with some basic documentation.

EDIT2:

Ok, anybody know where to get a hold of FalconFly? The directory is quite old - 2005 - anybody know if he has an account on here, for instance?

Also, it seems like there is a fellow called "Gold Leader" whom has some heavy-duty connections to the old 3dFX crew - might it be possible to get a hold of him, and have him see if he can dig up the necessary documentation?

WOW! Yeah, he seems like a good bet! 😲 If anyone has knowledge about the layout and chips of these cards, it's probably him.

So you want to build new V5 6000? Well... it actually might be cheaper and easier to buy original one.
