Nice collection. I'm not much of a collector, but the cards that I hang on to are the more oddball cards. My keepers include later AGP cards like the 6800, or Dual GPU cards like the 7950gx2. Also, one-off cards with no lineage. The Diamond Stealth II G460 comes to mind.

I have lots of video cards from 80s forward (maybe 50 different cards or so) but it never occurred to me they would be something to collect.

I will raise: Around 200 graphics cards 😵

Some have more, way more.... some have over 200 3dfx cards alone.

My counter shows over 400 cards total.
Plus a full box of various ISA and possibly VLB that are not so interesting for me and I never got around to check what is actually in there. 😵

So that's where all those ISA and VLB VGA cards I am trying to get a hold of are..

Heh.. If I really wanted to torture myself, I could go counting the cards I have. I kinda wonder if I have more video cards or more sound cards.

I am planning on getting rid of probably about 60-70% of the video cards I have.. I think and probably a large number of sound cards as well.

Do give us a heads up if you live in Europe 😀

Hah, there are not that many of them - the box is approximately 30x30x30 cm. 😀
Fellow collector decided to quit this hobby few years ago and gave me part of his collection. Besides this box mentioned, there were also various PCI, AGP and PCI-E video cards. Most of them I have already listed in my internal evidence and some of them (like this Riva 128ZX for example http://hw-museum.cz/vga/153/elsa-riva-128zx) are even scanned and uploaded to my website. At some point even those ISA cards will make it to my virtual museum...

I like to have a high-end or enthusiast card for about each era, so my collection isn't big and i can play whatever i want.
1.Cirrus Logic 5446 1mb for DOS
2.3DFX Voodoo 1 4mb
3.3DFX Voodoo 3000 AGP
4.Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti 4800
5.Nvidia GTX+ 9800 512mb
6.Radeon 5870 1gb
7.Nvidia 780 Ti 3gb

The problem is finding systems small enough to not take much space.

Heh.. Nope on the V5-5500. Have one I bought new from CompUSA back in the day and I have another I bought as a spare a while back. I would trade for a PCI version though.

As for the FX 5800 /5900 AGP, I don't have either of those, but you can get a Quadro FX 2000 which is equivalent to the 5800 Ultra or a Quadro FX 3000 which is equivalent to the 5900 Ultra. And those are actually obtainable.

It's always nice to see someone who makes a list of what they have. I didn't get to it yet... it's on my to-do list - make the damn inventory! 🤣

Requests are also possible... /msg kixs

i would like to get a few missing from my timeline - I have a Riva 128 and a TNT2 ultra (needs repair), Geforce 2 MX400, but then the next i have is an FX5600, 6800GT, 7950GT OC, 8800GTS, 9800GTX+ ending the original naming scheme.

Geforce 1, 3 and 4 along with a TNT1 would be good to have. AFAIK i'm not missing out on any feature/tech implementation - the GF 2 MX400 has roughly the same stats of an original Geforce and then the FX5600 can do everything the GF3 and GF4 series does... i think.

Yeah I've acquired gf256 and 3 as well as some other huge acquisitions though so an updated list is something I'd like to do.
