Hello!
A few years ago i bought a pack of computer parts from my friend. In that pack there was aforementioned S3 graphics card. It has 4 sockets for memory, only 2 populated with 256KB chips i think. I read online that this was the first S3 card that could use system memory as display memory. Does anybody have any experiences with that VGA? I never really tested it, just booted to the CMOS setup. Can it really "steal" system RAM through the PCI bus, or that was only for use on motherboard implementations?

Any sources? I thought the S3 Trio64UV+ was just a small update of the Trio64V+.

I can't remember anymore. I think it may have been posted in VOGONS before, but I seem to recall the UV+ might somehow be worse than a regular V+. Something like it being targeted at mobiles thus having lower clocks. Can anyone confirm?
