Had this card for awhile but wasn't interested in using it until now. Building a PII system with the following:

350mhz PII Slot 1
Intel SE440BX mobo
128mb Ram
40GB HD
SB 32 PNP model CT3670 with (2) 16mb ram modules
Creative 3D blaster Voodoo 2 12mb
Sony DVD drive
1.44mb floppy drive
400W Antec PS
Win98SE/DOS
Aopen beige case

Main reason for build: games in the 1996-1998 era - SW Darkforces, Duke Nukem 3D, TR1, Rogue Squadron 3D and etc.

Question I have is this card troublesome to install or are there better options from what's on hand: Matrox G100, S3 Virge, Diamond 770 Ultra, STB Riva 128.
I'll post pics of the finished rig elsewhere in the forums.

Asus P5N-E Intel Core 2 Duo 3.33ghz. 4GB DDR2 Geforce 470 1GB SB X-Fi Titanium 650W XP SP3
Intel SE440BX P3 450 256MB 80GB SSD Radeon 7200 64mb SB 32pnp 350W 98SE
MSI x570 Gaming Pro Carbon Ryzen 3700x 32GB DDR4 Zotac RTX 3070 8GB WD Black 1TB 850W

I740 is a decent chip and a PII is the platform it was built for. It's similar in speed and capability to Savage 3D, G200, TNT, Voodoo1/2. Except it lacks Glide of course which can be an issue when doing 1997-2000 gaming.

Riva 128 is a magically fugly experience. Maybe you should use that. 🤣 It's about the same speed as Voodoo1 but lower visual quality and just missing some important features.

G100 is useless. Virge is too other than for some DOS games ported to their S3D API.

Oh well, I'll just stick the Starfighter in there and see what happens. If it sucks that bad I'll may try to get something else, like an ATI card that was popular back then.
