That will probably go for around 2,000 pounds. Up to 620 and there is 9 days left on the bidding.

EDIT: 1500 already :O

This is very likely a scam.
According to this list the card with this serial number (1V6J) belongs to Surrimugge from Switzerland. He has confirmed he's not selling.
The pictures are identical to those on this website.
Also use common sense: Anyone who'd own this card would put in more effort into the auction than two pictures and two sentences.
I'd heavily advise against bidding.

Edit: The seller has given a different serial number from the one on the picture. Who sells a Voodoo 5 6000 without pictures of the actual item?

Not to mention their other listing with an "assortment" of graphics cards which they were too lazy to list specifically - no serious collector with a little bit of self-respect and healthy dose of OCD would do that. Eh, it will get shill bids anyway, I would expect someone will drive it to 10k just for the fun of it.

5***3(0) £2,370.00 11 Sep 2019 at 10:32:38PM BST

The rating of zero is suspicious

no serious collector with a little bit of self-respect and healthy dose of OCD would do that.

Could be his/her kid or other relative which just sells stuff after he/she died. Not really into it, but smart enough to google its value to set an auction.

Yeah, that's why he'd rotate the picture he found on the web so the image couldn't be found as easy with image reverse search.
Sorry for my sarcasm, I don't mean to be a dick, but really this auction is very suspicious. He also made an auction for a V5 5500 again with "borrowed" pictures instead of originals. Cropped just enough so you can't reverse search it easily. This is simply not a thrustworthy way of making an auction.
I'd be suprised if the Asus TUSL2-C he's also offering was an original picture.

If you actually have the items why do it like this? Why not just take a few pictures of the hardware? Everyone has a digital camera by now. And why would you rotate or crop pictures from the web?
Anyway I'm actually excited to see how this turns out. I really hope a "lost" Voodoo 5 6000 has resurfaced but I hardly believe it. :blah:

The seller fights back to regain our trust:

Code: Select all
On 11-Sep-19 at 22:24:07 BST, seller added the following information:

Collection preferred.
Serial number: 0848001A000000000000009M1V8M

The pictured card is 0848001A000000000000009M1V6J. All known serial numbers are publicly visible at https://www.voodooalert.de/board/forum/ ... ennummern/

It's been relisted as https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362752852481 with what to me look like photos of the actual card, but none show the serial #

Do any of you guys have a 6000? I recently added Voodoo 5 clock speed reporting to my SIV utility and should check it's OK on a 6000, see https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=68756 if you would like to help.

Again the pictures have been cropped ridiculously. They also look like someone took photos off of his screen while playing back videos. I am 100% certain those are not original photos.
The last picture in this listing is definitively a screenshot from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1TP7xdhDDY.

By now I'm totally convinced this is a scam. Too bad.

I guess so as now all the links don't work and https://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=scarmuch293&ftab=AllFeedback no longer has any items listed for sale

Maybe eBay stepped in already? I have reported them and am sure others did as well. Too bad eBay does not disclose their actions but having zero items could mean they are banned behind the scenes, pending an investigation perhaps.

I'm pretty sure many reported those auctions. I guess we all have and the issue has been discussed on every relevant 3dfx community.
Him trying to list the same item afain after the first auction was cancelled probably wasn't a smart move either.
