I have been able to find dumps of the BIOSes for both the Graphics Ultra Pro and XLR variants of the Mach32, but NOT the Graphics Wonder. Does anyone have this card and is able to dump their BIOS, or have the BIOS binary on hand? Fixing this card has been a royal pain for months, and I would really the help finding this last piece of the puzzle. Link to photo of my exact card: https://imgur.com/sbpJqUw

Thanks!

So, BIOS from other mach32 cards didn't fit the ATI Wonder? I can see that only the DAC differ on those cards, which might be the only cause of BIOS incompatibility. I do have that card (sort of), it's integrated into one of my 486 MBs and DAC used in it is almost identical. If no one uploads the BIOS image of your card in a few days, I'll try to create a soft BIOS dump of the integrated card.

I have a mach32 card that looks exactly like yours except for the fact that all RAM chips are soldered and it has the ATI DAC.

I also have another mach32 card that has VRAM and a TI DAC that has the same exact BIOS.

Both cards have these markings on the sticker on the BIOS:
VLB MACH 32
113-19509-102
(C)1993

What does the sticker on your original BIOS say?

ATI Graphics Wonder VLB according to:

Here is what they say about the BIOSes available on that site:

But keep in mind, that i'm using dumpbios NSSI dos utility, so better don't try to flash em to your card - seems to me like a fastest way to hell for your card. Bioses are there only for educational purposes - i'm often checking them for bios compiling date and card name.

Oh jeez I hope I didn't kill my card trying to use that BIOS from VGA Museum!

I've attached a photo of my card showing the original BIOS label. The middle number is different from the one you showed, and it is two years newer. The Graphics Wonder card showed on VGA Museum has almost the same BIOS number, except the last number is 106 instead of 109 (I think this is just a revision number).

From what I can glean comparing your cards to the ones on VGA Museum (appearance and BIOS numbers), it seems those are both Graphics Ultra XLR cards, especially looking at the middle number on the BIOS labels.

That 486 motherboard looks like it has the same AT&T DAC that my (discrete) card uses, so even though I didn't see a vBIOS label, I suspect it may have the one I need. Not sure a soft dump will work, but however you get it (if you manage) I'll give it a go. I downloaded what I believe is an Ultra XLR BIOS that someone uploaded on my other post; may try that as a last ditch effort if nothing else works. Thanks y'all!

I kinda doubt using a BIOS from vgamuseum would damage your card. It probably just doesn't work.

On another note, there is a card exactly like yours on eBay right now.

I hate the prices of these things these days.
I got this in a machine I got with three or four others (the person I went with kept most of them) for $25 from some hoarder in rural PA.
A 24-year-old, entry-level video card (albeit with RAM upgrade) for $80? Tha'ts almost half of what it originally cost (not factoring in inflation)! Ridiculous -_-

I know how you feel. I got both of my mach32 cards in random lots with other cards. I think the max I paid for one was like $9 when factoring in the other stuff.

Would you mind please trying to create a BIOS dump when you can? Thanks!

Here you go, this VGA BIOS for ATI MACH32-06 graphics processor was created specifically for AST computers that were using either ATT491 or BT481 DACs, thus it might not be entirely compatible with your card, good luck!

I've honestly been procrastinating because I'm nervous about it 🤣. I finally went to get the EPROM chip (UV erasable this time) out of my mail so I will try it soon.
