So this card is more useful than the SIS 6326 card at least for a SS7 system? I got the Pine pci version.

Retro rig 1: Asus CUV4X, VIA c3 800, Voodoo Banshee (Diamond fusion) and SB32 ct3670.
Retro rig 2: Intel DX2 66, SB16 Ct1740 and Cirrus Logic VLB.

What do you mean by more useful. More system specs would be useful.

Apparently 32-bit is dead and nobody likes P4s.
Of course, as always, I'm open to correction...😉

Eh, the SiS 305 isn't a great card, it's more of a...there card.
Real life performance would be about that of an ATi Rage Pro or an nVidia Riva128.

As for it being useful...eh, well, it's a good reason to send an S3 Virge to the landfill, right?

The 3xx line of SIS has table fog, 8bit textures and peletized textures?
Edit? Just checked Phil1s ss7 vga card reveiw and the 305 (agp) on ss7 system
Gl quake 680x240 was 30 fps (K6 400+ @550)
At least is more palyabe than S3 virge and 6326.
Sadly mine ha sthe gammablack levels issues

Phil's card looks sub-standard, mine 125 MHz 305 does ~40 fps in GLQuake 640x480.
