Hi all, I got my hands on the monitor in the title recently. When plugged in and switched on the green LED just blinks constantly. No activity on the screen whatsoever and no static on the glass when switching off. When connected to the VGA port of my (modern) PC set to 640x480 it exhibits the same behaviour. I've connected an 8513 to the same PC and it displays fine. Can anyone please advise me?
Regards,
Mark.

I had '15 and had main filter capacitor burst. Open it up and find the large cylinder capacitor, this one is bad. Something like 200V to 250V 400uF to 680uF or so. This is primary capacitor filter in hot side power supply near the AC plug.

BTW '18 is very nice monitor that does SVGA 800x600, than the 8513 that I had as well, 8513 is older and kills flyback transformers.

Cheers,

Great Northern aka Canada.

Thanks for the reply, I'll check that out. It turns out I have an 8518-002, can you tell me the differences between the various revisions, 001,002 etc.?
