Hi, i have a question, maybe someone knows what the difference from real DOS and DOS under windows 95, for the VGA card

I will explain with two examples

Vinyl Goddess of Mars and Dangerous Dave in Haunted Mansion in real DOS show bad graphics, colors, garbled

Same games under Win95 have perfect graphics

The Computer is a mini PC Futro S400 with a SIS741GX (315) graphic card, and windows 95 is without graphics drivers, just VGA 16color one

Any ideas?

Thanks

My guess is that the video driver 9even the generic VGA one) in Windows sets up the video chips in a better way than the Video BIOS does which would do such stuff in pure DOS when switching video modes/resolutions.
