pa1983, I see, so you've just combined two parts of different BIOSes (the one with already fixed bug and yours) to achieve the needed result.

In the very same thread about the s3's brightness bug you can check my software solution for this problem with ViRGE/GX(DX). It's based on the code given by the James-F, 'cause tools from Jepael do not work with DX/GX cards.

P.S. @pa1983: Here is some explaination of MCLK tool. It is needed also MCLKCONV tools to calculate the rigtht clock hex values.
