It is, they released it close to their company's closure: https://sourceforge.net/projects/glide/

I've forgotten what the license is, it may be GPLv2.

Saw that earlier but wasn't sure if it was the actual source. That awesome. But yes it would take someone who knows a good deal of FPGA to implement. I would dive in right now but I'm having to save for a cross country move so fun ds are starting to tighten up. Also w hy my overkill 98 build is a slow burning project.

From my experience Geforce cards aren't all they're cracked up to be. Several of my GF4ti locked up in NFS Porsche and Half Life when AA & AF is enabled. Some Geforce only show a black screen in Blood 2. And get ready to laugh/cry if you run Midtown Madness with any Geforce (I tried GF1 - GF7).

So it depends on the games you play. If you X800 Radeon is running the games fine, I would not switch it for something else.
