I'd certainly buy a product based on a reverse-engineered VSA-100 as long as it works on AGP mainboards which are compatible to Windows 9x.

No problem, you just need to find at least few thousand people also willing to buy it, to make such project feasible.
I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
That's a problem, unless you implement a feature to make it mine crypto currencies alongside Glide gaming 😉
Would it not easier to implent own glide accelerator on fpga and change opensource glide drivers ? 😁
A Glide Wrapper is nothing else :- |
Simply replace glide*ovl/dll with own versions.
Would also avoid patent/copyright issues.
i would not be able to do this.

I thought this thread was dead, 🤣. Apparently not. I've taken a new direction as I think I've been able to source some Voodoo 5 6000 revision VSA-100 chips for dirt cheap, and build myself a 32x SLI video subsystem.
Edit: And use FPGAs for hardware T&L.
Hm ok, I just would buy a RTX Card 😂
