I'm making do with what i got is this USFF HP 8200 sandy bridge with MXM slot which is currently 5450 residing.

The price is right for HD5650 MXM with HP vbios on it and wattage is slightly higher.

How's the upgrade when going with mobile HD5650? Providing this is for running XP doing duty for older games.

According to wiki these are similar to the desktop Cedar and Redwood parts. The latter would be at least double the performance, or more for shader-heavy games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_gra … _HD_5000_series
