Hi all,
Picked up a lovely 7800GS AGP. Unfortunately, it had chunks of gunk and filth, corrosion, and generally was in poor condition.

Before:

During Cleaning:

After 3 days of cleaning, it appears as if some component replacement will be required.

The capacitors test okay (will probably replace them anyway) however, can anyone assist in identifying the following components? They appears to have leaked through the actual solder on the bottom of the board:

Card model: Gainward 7800GS AGP8X
P/N: NA/780GS+T352-PM8370

Much appreciated.

Hmmm, those are coils, they don't have anything to leak.

Thanks for the info. The mystery deepens. It appears the solder has cracked and something has leaked through, so perhaps I will remove them & all capacitors and see if the culprit lies elsewhere. Will report back!

Good luck, ive given up on the 7800GS, ive had 5 of them, they all die sooner or later, just like most cards from 2005-2008, its that era of moving to lead free but not having it figured out right
