I am doing some benchmarking with my riva128 card, and noticed that although games like quake are running a lot faster than the ATI Rage Pro card I am replacing it with (almost doubling the performance), I did notice that the 3DMark99 score is very low. This is mostly due to the fact that Game 2 : First Person is running very poorly, running an average of about 3 fps. (where the ATI Rage Pro card was doing 12FPS).

Is it just some comparability issue between that particular demo and the Riva128 card /driver ? Or is something else at play here ?
