Just wanting some confirmation here, it’s 100% sure that the voodoo 5 5500 outputs a digital signal through the dvi port right?
Trying to find one eventually, but if it can’t do digital then I should look at other cards. I need a digital signal.
It does digital, I can convert the DVI to HDMI with a cable that works on monitor's that don't support analogue signals.
I think Anthony even recreated the V5500 with a mini-HDMI connector, so if he still has some for sale you could just contact him and buy one instead of waiting for an original dvi version to come along. 😀

As far as pci goes, I did see he made a pci version with pass-thru, but without hdmi/dvi.
But you should ask him if you are interested, he did make a pci 4500 with mini-hdmi as well, so he definetely has the skillset to create what you want. 😀

I talked to him, he wants $650 for a 5500 pci with hdmi
It’s just too much money..
I’m gonna keep an eye out for a good deal on ebay probably solder a dvi onto one of them and flash it. Save 250$ maybe more.
I wouldn't call his cards exaclty cheap.
But given the labour he puts in developing the cards, the current market prices and the fact that you get a brand new card instead of a used one, makes me think his prices are fair for what you get.
However, if you think you can get a v5500 DVI for $400 or less in a realistic timeframe, I get why you want to wait 😉

AFAIK SLI 3D rendering has problems with digital output in some modes. 1600x1200 may work only with analog. And Voodoo 5 6000 4x SLI rendering is notoriously analog only for any screen resolution.

Yeah, he was saying that if I wanted dvi/hdmi it had to be a 5500 not a 6000
