There are several revisions of this ViRGE/DX-based board, from A to G apparently, and they also have varying firmware versions.
Some rev B boards have a 3.04 firmware, while rev G can have 1.01 firmware. One could assume therefore that each revision resets the firmware version counter and 1.01 for G is newer/better than 3.04 for B, but that's just a theory that could be wrong.
There also seems to be some rev C that have a 1996 copyright on them, while some rev A have 1997, and I don't know what to make of that.

Anyway, are there combinations of revision and firmware versions to look aim for, or that are less desirable than others?
