I was tempted to buy one but is anything that is useful with it besides the feature of TruForm?

Is there suitable alteratives that will do well eg: 9600 XT, and my current collection of GPU cards?

It has interesting error diffusion 16-bit dithering. A Radeon 9600 is definitely a superior card though.

Truform is really of questionable value because few games used it and with those that did you usually need to compare screenshots to notice the difference.
