Hiya,
Boredom led me to browsing VGA Museum again. From there I stumbled upon another collector's website: https://vgamuseum.ru. The person behind it has a cool collection of cards, but what intrigued me the most were the ALi cards. I have never, ever heard of them, let alone seen one in the wild. Information is very scarce, but there seem to be two graphics chips used:
- ALi M3145 "ALiCAT" or "ALiCAT I"
- ALi M3147 "ALiCAT III"
Wikipedia only lists those two as being made in a card format. It also says they are "most likely S3 Trio64V+ compatible". But one image of the M3147 card on the aformentioned website proudly displays the S3 logo and "S3 TRIO 64V+" on the card's silkscreen:

Has anyone got such a card and can tell about its performance? Or could it just be that they're Trio 64V+s with different markings?
