I have an odd problem with MS-DOS games that play in EGA, when played on an nvidia card that uses DVI and VGA on the same board.
Through the DVI port, in Windows, EGA games' graphics play as if you had opened a book. One vertical half of the screen uses one video page, the other one uses the second:
---------- | -----------
Video Page 1 | Video Page 2
---------- | -----------

It's never one single image.

The VGA output is just fine. It shows a single image.

With MS-DOS, it works just fine too.

I've tried it with a 440MX and a FX5200, and they both show the same thing. I know this is something with the DVI/VGA dual-monitor range of cards, but would there be any way to fix it?

Different driver version may help with it.

Is this related to EGA's socalled dual-page mode feature somehow ?

EGA can use two pages, like Hercules Monochrome (one overlaps with CGA).

Some games like Commander Keen IV use this for buffering - draw one page, display the other one..

It's nothing special per se, maybe.
It's just more of a curiosity that EGA has something that the usual VGA modes don't have.
