I have an old 19” CRT That I used to run using a 1600x1200 resolution on my old Duron

This laptop has a single hdmi out and I’m running the screen at 1280x1024 because it won’t allow higher.

When I set things manually both screens (internal and external) get set to the same resolution with the same image.

On older versions of Windows I don’t remember this limitation?

If I hot plug the adapter I can get 1980x1080 on the crt but have no desire for that resolution.

Any ideas? I miss the days of true manual setup to override the default refresh and resolution.
