I've got this graphics card and when I boot machine with it I get nothing.
But when I boot with isa adapter windows 98 finds standard pci adapter... its actually agp version... and i can manually install drivers. How ever I get no picture because windows says that "graphics adapter for the primary monitor does not work with multiple display support"
So I was thinking maybe its just some kind of bios corruption problem.
Thing is I can't find original bios for the card so I could try to reflash it.
So if anyone knows where to find this bios and flash program for it I would appreciate info.

Unistall Nvidia Drivers and download Detonator Destroyer, its like DDU but for Detonators in 9x Link provided.

Boot into safe mode and clear all ghosted Video Drivers and Display drivers.

Download 45.23 Geforce FX driver. http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=7 … &menustate=14,1

I would install direct x 8.1 But but not 9 for 98se. FX sucks for direct x 9. And I have experieced games being broken with Direct X 9.

Go into BIOS and make sure you are reserving IRQ for GPU, check system information in windows to make sure you dont have IRQ conflicts.

Use the VGA Dsub out on the GPU if you can. DVI on FX cards has Bugs in win 98.

Try again.

Thanks for the response.
I think my problem is not a driver problem since card doesn't post anything at all even outside of windows. I think its hardware/bios problem.
What I would like to try is something like in this video.

I'm trying to get this working on
soltek sl-75kav
Duron 800 downcloked at 550
256mb pc100
I don't think it's a motherboard problem because it works fine with radeon 9600.
I can get this setup to Windows 98 with trident tvga9000c, and if I installed Windows 2000 I could probably get picture out of the card.

Motherboard problem ?
Yes.Pleas look their capacitor near CPU Socket... many capacitor is bulged. Pleas solve this problem at first.

And pleas put new capacitor exaktly on bottom of PCB (parasite induction by long leg )

I'm not going to change the capacitors on motherboard as long as the system is perfectly stable. Motherboard is going to be in use so if it gets unstable then I'll change those caps.
As for the graphics card caps I just changed dodgy looking ones, didn't cut the legs short because I'll not waste caps on the card if I can't get it working.

There is no point in continuing any troubleshooting efforts when you have obviously failing capacitors. If that were my motherboard I would have made sure it would power on then set it aside until I could replace all of the capacitors of the brand/voltage that are failing.

Well I've got the opposite approach.
Never fix something that isn't broken.
I actually do have another sl75-kav motherboard from witch I have replaced capacitors, but it was not working so I had to.
Anyways I just moved the graphics card aside waiting for the times I find the bios.
So case closed.

Pny Verto fx5600 ultra 128mb ddr

Is this the first or second revision? The first revision had GPU\VRAM frequencies of 350\350 MHz, while the second revision had 400\400 MHz. They are initially set in vBIOS. The card must be labeled accordingly.

Although, if you believe:

PNY only had a second revision (If the source is not mistaken). For accuracy, you can also check the official website. If you have exactly the second revision and you are sure about it, try running the card with different vBIOS via AUTOEXEC.BAT using the RAMBIOS program. They are basically all compatible. The vBIOS for this particular card cannot be found on the Internet, but there are many others from similar cards.

I think its rev 2 card. Safest bet would be to flash rev 1 bios.
However the problem remains, I can't find any fx5600 ultra bios.

Ok let's get back to this card 🙃
I inspected the card more closely and found out that there is a missing part on the board 🤦
I found a hires picture online but I don't know what part that is.
