Hi @ all.

I have a new GPU, 6700XT. It works good under DOS. I now even have sound, thanks to the sbemu project.

Thinking back, I remember back in the '90s, I used a VBE program, or VESA program (later SciTech Display doctor?) in order to get higher resolution in games under DOS. It has been such a long time ago.
Does such a utility still exist for dos, that is aiming for newer graphic cards? I'd like to try some SVGA modes (i.e. DN3D, Big Red Racing).

Thank you @ all.

These are the resolutions my GPU supports:

that gpu amazes me it works under dos . it's all-in-one architecture , should not work properly under dos because it needs win drivers to distribute mem&gpu-power correctly.

Oh, doesn't work under hackintosh though 😀 Not that I've tried since it's supposedly illegal and I do no such thing.

However, never had a GPU that doesn't work under DOS, my 3 last GPUs were the Vega 56, R9 Fury, and the RX 580.

Some games glitches though, like cloud kingdoms (sprite displacement), but most games work fine!

Luckily, the GPU supports both CSM and EFI modes, same as my motherboard. I think this will be the last motherboard I'll use for some years. It has plenty of PCIE slots, unlike the newer X570 and X670 boards, and the future of EFI only motherboards are coming..

I tried to install mac-os-x on my Dell P. 470 , but had little success. (maybe I don't know how). Normally , at GPU point , DOS+GPU stops at G80 generation , and somewhere before 3000series AMD(ATi) , or R520 ati , the new chips had integrated pipelines and all are addressed via software. So in tech essence point , everything above 2009 should be virtualised addressed when dos is used. ( I think.) - I do hate Efi(sorry).

I am talking about Real-mode DOS , not fancy virtual DOS_BOX...

Yes, I am using real mode dos. It's the only way I like to use it 😀
