Hi there!

I was wondering if RGB video monitors exist that use a monochrome CRT with an LCD filter or RGB wheel.

Essentially the reverse to a monochrome video camera with a colour wheel attached.

So far, I only know about Nipkow style screens and oscilloscopes which use such a technology (Tektronix NuColor)..

JVC and tektronix are the only ones I’m aware of

Back in the 50’s / 60’s certain mainframe screens were dua-chrome having a monochrome screen that could display 2 colors plus Black depending on how strong the electron beam was.
Other mono CRTs could do similar with PWM or by having an alternatie decay color vrs active color. (Like radar scopes)
