I'm building a Windows 98 / XP Multiboot system with the following specs:

* Asrock K7VT4A Pro
* Athlon XP 2000+
* 512 MB RAM
* GeForce 4 MX 440 64MB
* Diamond Voodoo 2 12MB for Glide games under Windows 98

Windows 98SE is installed with all required drivers and working fine so far
but after installing the latest reference driver for the voodoo, the system either freezes or reboots instantly after loading up the voodoo driver right when you get to the desktop.

Is this a known issue with "more recent" systems? and how could I solve this?
I heard that setting the primary graphics adapter to PCI could solve this issue, but mine was already set to PCI.

What Athlon drivers?
I wasn’t aware you need different drivers for non-Intel CPUs

Those are third-party drivers that attempts to make the Voodoo2 compatible with Athlon CPUs.

seems to work but experiencing freezes in games and benchmarks.
its not the card since its working perfectly in my Pentium 3 system.

Have you tried all of them?
