Throwing a bottle in the sea for old crts specialists! I'm looking to access to the factory service menu of my OSD based ViewSonic e651-3 crt monitor. I look at the service manual, but the key combination to enter it doesn't work... I'm probably missing something ... Has anyone any idea?
Any help would be appreciated greatly!

I'm pretty sure this monitor has no specific service menu. What do you want to adjust ?

I would like to tweak RBG gain and bias to give a bit more punch to the image.

There must be a way to tweak those as there is no potentiometer inside and the circuit schematics indicate that they are controlled by a chip.
I'm pretty sure factory mode means some kind of service mode as I have fixed several CRTs with an hidden menu that could tweak all the parameters of the screen.

Well I could live without fixing it, but the size is perfect for my dos rig and tweaking these parameter would breath new life in this !

I guess holding down the marked buttons and then powering up from the cold (and not from standby) didn't work ? Sometimes the buttons don't work all that well and won't register and often you got to hold them down for several seconds too. The service manual doesn't really tell much at all about it, maybe it actually needs some specific input first too, it mentions a signal generator and specific modes on it...

I looked more at the schematic and yeah, it looks like there should be a way to set these things through a menu etc.

Yes I tried different way and it didn't work, the buttons work okey so that's not the issue.
The key combinations are clearly written but the way to input those is missing.
I tried pushing the power button, with the key pressed, I tried holding them, I tried to do. A sequential key press didn't work either.
There is a table that seems to indicate the different modes, but what about the signal?
Just like you I suspect you need to use some kind of signal generator... Pretty difficult way to access this menu!
